One in 100 Kiwis are classed as homeless because they are living in unsafe or unsuitable locations.
Everyday in NZ, agencies work together to help people with access to food, emergency accommodation, clothing, furnishings, counselling and other welfare support to address their financial, health, security and social needs.
On Friday 13th October 2017 from 6pm- 8am, 14 Hours Homeless events will be happening around the country to raise funds and awareness about the reality of homelessness in New Zealand.
You can help make a difference by finding people to sponsor you to sleep out in cars, on couches or on cardboard for 14 hours alongside other participants in a secure outdoor environment. You can set your own fundraising target and create your profile here on our fundraising platform - it couldn't be easier to complete.
What can you do?
Register before 30 September to join in an event in Auckland, Wellington, Palmerston North or Invercargill.
Sponsor someone who is participating in 14 Hours Homeless to help support agencies who are working with those experiencing homelessness in your city.
