The Youth Department is extending its family again! We’re looking for a Youth Programme Coordinator to potentinally start mid-January 2019. This is a full-time position based at Territorial Headquarters in Wellington.
We are seeking a confident, organised and proactive individual who is passionate about supporting youth and is ready to develop and strengthen youth ministry and its leaders in NZ, Fiji, Tonga and Samoa. The Youth Programme Coordinator will work closely with the Territorial Youth Secretary to implement our youth strategy.
The Youth Programme Coordinator will oversee strategic projects, coordinate training for youth leaders, and help plan and run territorial youth events. They will also work with youth leaders within the Territory, providing them with support, assisting them with solutions and identifying appropriate training and development.
This role has active involvement in the management and outworking of our Youth Work Training Programmes (LAB Apprenticeship and Foundations of Youth Work), and will involve you working closely with the Director of Youth Missions Training to deliver on these programmes.
The successful candidate should have the following skills and experience:
- Good drive and initiative
- Highly organised with the ability to work independently
- Experience in planning and running events
- Ability to juggle and meet multiple deadlines
- Ideally, experience managing a budget
- Mature, with good boundaries and the ability to assess and make sound decisions
