The Territorial Youth Department is excited to be offering scholarships of up to $1000 for experienced youth workers in The Salvation Army for the purpose of developing their skills and practice through the Experienced Youth Worker Scholarship Grant 2017.

This is aimed at investing into retaining and developing some of our key experienced youth workers who bring a wealth of knowledge and skills to The Salvation Army and our young people.

The following are the requirements that must be met in order to be eligible for the scholarship:

  • Actively involved in youth work in a corps/centre for at least three years 
  • Applicant agrees to enrol or has enrolled in a recognised programme / study with a youth focus or component.
  • In order to receive the scholarship, relevant documentation will have to be submitted (i.e. tax invoice, enrolment letter).
  • Note: this is not an ongoing commitment but a once off grant.

These are due back to your Divisional Youth Secretary with with Corps Officer/Centre Manager endorsement by 5pm Friday 12th May 2017.
