The Salvation Army Youth Department exists to equip, support and resource any form of youth work based at Corps and Centres throughout New Zealand, Fiji, Tonga and Samoa.
The vision of The Salvation Army Youth Department is to see young people inspired and equipped to follow God, connect well with others, find personal significance and make a positive difference in their world.
This vision will be achieved in the following ways:
1. Make, Grow and Retain Youth Disciples
2. Recruit, Develop and Retain Youth Leaders
3. Offer Consistent and Well-Resourced Services
4. Work Together
Check out the full National Youth Ministry Strategy and what we are doing to put this into practice.
There are a diverse range of youth work expressions operating throughout the four countries in our territory. These are led by both employed and volunteer youth workers and leaders who are trained or in training and seek to empower young people and lead them into a better understanding of Jesus Christ and His purpose for their lives.
To find out more about what is happening in the different regions of our territory, see the In Your Area page.
